Character Creation

Returning Characters:

Returning characters received 12 experience points after the last game.

All players will receive 5 experience points for coming in costume.

You may submit a revised character profile. This is also worth 5 experience points.

For longer stories, I will accept Word documents (Don't have word? Download Open Office. Or use Google Docs.), and supplemental google map overlays. All entries must be e-mailed in Word format. Generally speaking, players can assume 1 experience point for each double-spaced page, or 2 per single-spaced page. Very well-written stories will receive a bonus, and a lack of proofreading will result in a penalty. Extra penalties may be assigned at the English Major's discretion.

New Charaters:

New Characters can play anything! Well, anything within reason. Los Angeles's unique position as a crossroads between the three major vampire sects and its position as a neutral city offering sanctuary to all make nearly any character possible. Still some vampires are more equal than others.

So if you're not sure what you want to do, and you want to fit in, pick from the first group. But if you're wedded to a particular concept, pretty much anything goes.*

Points are standard V:tM, with 50 freebies. (7/5/3 Attributes, 13/9/5 Abilities, 5 Backgrounds, 3 Disciplines, 7 Virtues)

Players looking for extra points may come in costume for 5 points. Write a brief character profile for another 5. And the truly ambitious can construct an elaborate back story for their character. All stories must be submitted as Word documents. A google map detailing a character's history will also be accepted, but only as a supplement to a story. While the points awarded for stories won't be literally limitless, new players will be rewarded at a higher rate than returning players, as their characters are starting out slightly weaker.

All characters subject to final approval by the Storytellers, so it might be wise to consult with us before getting too invested.
